- Firefox - Select Tools, then Options, then Tabs, then check Open new windows in new tab instead
- Internet Explorer - Select Tools, then Internet Options, then General, then under the Tabs heading select Settings, and then under the heading of Open links from other programs in: select the radio button next to A new tab in the current window
